«instinctive desire» is the first comprehensive publication by the artist nici jost, which enables a precise investigation and analysis of the colour pink. along with the works of nici jost, the historian and social researcher dominique grisard develops in her text an outline of the cultural history of the colour pink from the perspective of gender studies and links nici jost’s artistic findings to a larger context.
«instinctive desire» is published by edition fink and appears as volume 8 of the series primeur issued by the aargauer kuratorium.
«instinctive desire» ist die erste umfassende publikation der künstlerin nici jost. in ihrer künstlerischen praxis widmet sich die künstlerin der farbe rosa, welche in ihrer publikation untersucht und analysiert wird. neben den arbeiten von nici jost entwickelt die historikerin und sozialforscherin dominique grisard in ihrem text einen abriss der kulturgeschichte der farbe rosa aus der perspektive der gender studies und stellt die künstlerischen erkenntnisse von nici jost in einen grösseren kontext.
